At Geebung State School, we value student voice and provide opportunities for students to take on meaningful leadership roles within our school community.
Student leadership positions are highly regarded and give students the opportunity to build confidence, responsibility and communication skills while contributing to school life.
In Term 4 each year, Year 5 students are invited to apply for leadership positions for the following year.
Leadership roles include:
- School Captains
- Vice Captains
- Cultural and Community Captain
- Arts Captains
- Sports House Captains
- Student Councillors
All student leaders are members of the Student Council and meet regularly throughout the year to share ideas, discuss initiatives and help shape activities across the school.
Our student leaders play an important role in representing Geebung State School and supporting a strong sense of connection, pride and community.
