Geebung State School is proud to have a strong connection with our local community.
We value the support of our families, volunteers and community partners, and believe that working together helps create the best possible outcomes for our students.
There are many ways to get involved in school life, whether that’s in the classroom, at school activities, through the P&C, or by helping behind the scenes.
Volunteering

Volunteers are always welcome at Geebung State School.
Opportunities may include:
Supporting reading and classroom activities
Assisting with excursions and swimming
Helping with school and community activities
Volunteering with the tuckshop or swimming club
Supporting Mother’s Day and Father’s Day stalls
Assisting with fundraising activities and working bees
Helping behind the scenes or contributing from home
We understand that not everyone is able to volunteer during school hours, so there are also opportunities to support the school in other ways.
All volunteers are required to complete an annual volunteer induction before commencing to ensure they are familiar with school expectations, policies and procedures.
Community Activities at Geebung
A number of community groups and third-party providers also use our school facilities to offer activities outside school hours.
Monday Munchkins Playgroup
Monday Munchkins is affiliated with Play Matters.
Please note that the playgroup is currently taking a break.
Karate
Ketsushin Kai Karate classes are held in the school hall on Tuesday evenings.
