Geebung State School enjoys a close bond with its local community.  We are proud of the active and supportive role that the community plays in the nurturing of our life-long learners.  We work together collectively to improve the learning outcomes for all students.  You may like to volunteer in our school.

All volunteers must complete a volunteer induction program before commencing.

Volunteering

“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much". Helen Keller

Volunteers are always welcome in our school.  Parents whose work commitments keep them from the school, may volunteer through home baking or working behind the scenes for our numerous school and community events.

The P&C sub-committees are always looking for volunteers including: Tuckshop, Swim Club and one off events such as the Mother's and Father's Day stalls, the Colour Splatacular Run and working bee's.  Classroom volunteers assist with reading, excursions, swimming, reading groups and other activities.

We have activities offered at Geebung State School by third party service providers who hire out our facilities.
