On Monday October 27 the Hon Wayne Swan MP, Federal Treasurer and Member for Lilley along with Mr Tom Robertson, Executive Director Schools Brisbane North District and P&C President Mr Craig Johnston were guests at a special assembly to officially open the Year 5/6/7 playground. The funds for this playground were obtained through an Investing in Our Schools Grant to the amount of $51 158. The grant was used to construct the playground equipment and erect a shade structure over it.

The Senior School Choir gave a preview of their performance for an upcoming competition. Mr Swan and Mr Robertson presented the weekly Student Achievement Awards before moving outside for a tour of the playground with parents and student representatives.
